About Us

Hillside Automotive Center, Inc., located in Hartford, is owned and operated by Gary and Marie Pelletier since 1985. We are a one stop shop - providing repairs and maintenance on all vehicles, cars, trucks, 4x4's, imports, and diesels. We are dedicated to personal service and quality repairs done in a timely manner. Our focus is to educate people on the importance of performing regular scheduled maintenance to their vehicles. We know that a well maintained vehicle is more dependable, has a longer life, and brings a better return on the money invested in it.

Our commitment to our customer is threefold:

  1. To give a quality of service that builds long-standing relationships.
  2. To assure that your vehicle is dependable and in safe operating condition.
  3. To work with our customers to control vehicle costs.

We also offer fleet service. We are able to accommodate medium to heavy duty trucks.

Our technicians are certified by The National Institute For Automotive Service Excellence, otherwise known as ASE. ASE, a national, nonprofit organization, certifies automotive technicians by means of nationally administered tests. Technicians voluntarily take these competency exams in one to eight automotive specialties, such as Engine Repair or Brakes. There are also exams for medium/heavy truck and collision repair technicians.

Those who pass and fulfill the hands-on work experience requirement are awarded ASE credentials attesting their competency. Those who pass all exams in a specialty are awarded Master Technicians. Not only are these credentials meaningful to the technician, they are reassuring to his employer and important to you. They are extra assurance that your technician knows his or her stuff. All ASE-certified technicians must recertify every five years in order to remain current with technology and to stay in the program.
